Spring Skincare Routine

Skincare has always been a non negotiable. Even as a teenager I was always fixated on making sure I had a routine down. Because teenage hormones and stress were kind to no nobody. I can remember when I was 16 years old, I went for a sleep over at a friends house and I forgot my facial cleanser. OMG the world was crumbling before me. So I washed my face with hand soap that night, and was thoroughly distraught over the traumatic event. From that point on, I made sure my skincare products were the FIRST items I packed when going anywhere.

So here are my facial products that I use morning and evening everyday.

- I cleanse my face with Farmhouse Fresh Green Tea Milk Wash. It’s a creamy cleanser that has coconut milk and green tea to help cleanse and soothe the skin. Tough enough to take make up off, yet calming enough to soothe irritated skin. It’s minty cool feel is so rejuvenating. Perfect for all skin types.

- After I cleanse my face, I will apply either the Jane Iredale Hyaluronic Serum or the Monat REJUVENIQE Light Oil. During the winter months when the weather is extremely dry I will use the Monat Oil, or when my skin is feeling extra parched. On the opposite times I will use the Jane Iredale serum which helps to stimulate your natural moisture bonds with the hyaluronic acid.

- After I apply my serum I will apply either the Farmhouse Fresh Three Milk Moisturizer, or the Vani Cream Moisturizer. The Vani Cream is much denser in consistency, so when my skin is extra dry I will apply that. Otherwise the Three Milk will be my nightly moisturizer. The three milk formula is a power house of antioxidants and peptides. Coconut milk, milk thistle and milk vetch pack a powerful antiaging punch.

- In the morning I tend to rinse my skin with warm water versus cleanser, due to my skin being very very dry. By doing so helps the skin use its natural oils to work WITH a moisturizer, ensuring it will absorb better. Not all skin types can benefit from this method. For example, severe acne would require a totally different regimen. After I rinse my skin in the morning I apply my Elta MD Clear. Elta has 2 daily moisturizers that contain spf. The Clear contains niacinamide which is ideal for combination skin that occasionally experiences breakouts and redness. The other daily moisturizer is a Elta MD Daily. The Daily contains Hyaluronic acid normal to dry skin retain its moisture. Since my skin can get hormonal at times, I have found the Clear works perfectly with my skin.

There you have it folks! My favorite staple skincare products. It's always wise to take into consideration that skincare is not a one size fits all. Because there are so many different skin types and conditions, skincare is 100% customizable.
