Wash your fruits and veggies!

Since everyone is washing their hands 377,289 times a day because of the dang Corona Virus, lets keep the trend going of all the things that need to be washed shall we?

I have found that by washing my fruits and veggies like this they tend to stay fresh longer!

Here is my routine on washing our fruits and veggies.

* I typically don't wash raspberries with this mixture because they tend to fall apart

~ I love to do my grocery shopping at a few different stores. The majority of my shopping is done at Aldi. Their prices and quality are fantastic! And you can't not love the aisle of randomness. Need a new laundry basket? Barbie doll? Exercise bike? Any-who, I also go to Trader Joes and Wegmans, which is our local grocery store. And of course the random Target and Walmart run. So you will see a variety of different brands in my posts.

Ingredients

- A large bowl

- Apple cider vinegar

- baking soda

How to: 1. Put your fruit in a big bowl and fill it up with water 2. Pour in apple cider vinegar (about 1/4 cup) 3. Sprinkle in baking soda (I usually eyeball it) 4. Mix it all around with your hand until it becomes fizzy 5. If you arenโ€™t getting a lot of fizzing then sprinkle in more baking soda 6. Let the fruit soak for 5-10 minutes 7. Rinse well, cut and store!
